1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ConcreteCalc Pro ("the Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you should discontinue use of the website immediately.
2. Critical Engineering & Safety Notice
ConcreteCalc Pro is an estimation tool and mathematical guide. It is NOT a substitute for a licensed professional engineer (PE), registered architect, certified contractor, or municipal building inspector.
Calculations provided on this platform are based on theoretical geometric models and user-supplied numbers. They do NOT evaluate:
- Structural soil bearing capacity, frost heave, or subbase compaction
- Live, dead, snow, seismic, or hydrostatic structural load requirements
- Rebar placement, tensile reinforcement sizing, or lap splice engineering
- Local municipal building code compliance (e.g., IBC, IRC, local frost line depth regulations)
Always have load-bearing structural footings, retaining walls exceeding 4 feet, elevated slabs, and foundations reviewed by a licensed professional engineer in your jurisdiction before pouring concrete.
3. Jobsite & Real-World Variances
Theoretical geometric volume formulas assume perfectly rigid, smooth, and plumb boundaries. In actual construction practice, several physical factors invariably influence concrete demand:
- Excavation Unevenness: Soil irregularities and grade variations often cause slabs or footings to be thicker than planned.
- Formwork Deflection: Concrete pressure can bow wooden forms outward during the pour.
- Subgrade Absorption & Compaction: Porous gravel or dry soil can absorb paste volume.
- Spillage & Residual Drum Dwell: Concrete lost in pump hoppers, chutes, wheelbarrows, or clinging to the truck drum.
ConcreteCalc Pro defaults to a recommended +10% waste buffer to mitigate shortage risk, but actual jobsite requirements may be higher or lower depending on site conditions. Users are solely responsible for verifying on-site form measurements before placing ready-mix orders.
4. Permitted Use & Intellectual Property
You are granted a non-exclusive, revocable license to use ConcreteCalc Pro for personal, contractor, educational, and commercial job estimation purposes.
You may not scrape, mirror, systematically extract, or republish our calculation code, user interface designs, or written content for the purpose of creating a duplicate competing platform without explicit written authorization.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ConcreteCalc Pro, its creators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website.
This includes, without limitation: concrete shortages, cold-joint structural remediation, ready-mix over-order costs, short-load delivery charges, project schedule delays, or structural failure of poured elements. All calculations are used at your own risk.
6. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to improve, modify, update, or temporarily suspend any calculation tool or feature at any time without prior notice.
